T/Cs
I’ll admit, on the specific voicework pages I’ve been a little vague price-wise, there’s something that feels very transactional about plastering money all over the portfolio. I don’t like that I have to send an invoice at the end of each project, and wish it weren’t required to feed myself. Oh, and everything is +VAT if in the UK.
Things to bear in mind:
Quoting is variable, and subject to common sensical change. Reach is important.
Please be as specific as you can be about usage requirements. I charge fair rates, and will always work with you to come to a number you think is worth it.
These prices are for the UK market. I don’t think it’s fair to charge people from countries with weaker purchasing power the same as British companies, so concessions are made based on your locale.
If you work with a specific budget, due to downstream commitments or contracts, let me know and we’ll have a look at my rates. I’d much rather meet a nice person and receive less, than be high and mighty about it and lose the potential good energy in my life.
For TV gigs, I defer to https://www.usefee.tv/ as they inevitably know best.
For E-learning, it’s very simple, £0.10/word. I bill a minimum of £100 per project. If you sent over 10,000 words, I bet I’d knock some off too.
For Medical/Technical scripts with lots of terminology which I research pronunciations and meanings of, I work with £0.25/word.
For anything else, I use the Gravy for the Brain rate card.
Payment terms:
I throw a 0-day invoice payment deadline on my deliveries, but realistically, my business is extremely simple to run bookkeeping-wise, and I understand larger operations are exactly the opposite, so this is never enforced. People always pay in the end, as people are generally fair and honest.
Bank transfer, or Stripe. I don’t use PayPal, as it’s a nightmare come tax-time.
